When we believe that we human males alone are created in the likeness of God, we believe that we are superior and more privileged than all others.
As a result we do not only treat the female gender as lesser if at all, but all the rest of creation with little or no respect that it deserves.
Exploitation, intolerance, violence, etc. are but a natural outcome of such a belief system. No amount of legislation, preaching, teaching, rationalisation, etc. can change such a mindset once it is established.
The only way we can experience heaven on earth is if we treat every being, creature, plant, river, mountain as having the same rights as us human males.
